Roster Moves Announced by San Francisco 49ers

The San Francisco 49ers announced a series of roster moves, including the signing of three players and the waiving of two others.

Signings:

OL Ben Bartch: A versatile lineman who can play both guard and center. Bartch has appeared in 11 games over the past two seasons.
TE Eric Saubert: A blocking tight end who also contributes as a receiver. Saubert has recorded 19 catches for 196 yards and 3 touchdowns in his career.
CB Rock Ya-Sin: A talented cornerback who has started 29 games over the past three seasons. Ya-Sin is known for his athleticism and coverage skills.

Waivers:

DL Sam Okuayinonu: A reserve defensive lineman who has appeared in 10 games over the past two seasons.
OL Jon Feliciano: A veteran guard who has been battling injuries. Feliciano has started 75 games in his NFL career.

Injured Reserve List Additions:

CB Ambry Thomas: A promising young cornerback who suffered a season-ending injury during training camp.

These roster moves were made to finalize the 49ers' roster ahead of the regular season. The team released Bartch, Saubert, and Ya-Sin on August 27th, but re-signed them after assessing their options on the waiver wire.

The 49ers are optimistic about the potential of their newly acquired players. Bartch provides depth and versatility to the offensive line, Saubert adds experience and blocking ability to the tight end group, and Ya-Sin bolsters the cornerback position with his coverage and athleticism.

The team believes that these moves will help them compete for a championship in 2024. The 49ers open their regular season on September 9th against the Chicago Bears.
