Fox Panel Loses Their Minds Over ‘White Dudes for Harris’ Fundraising Call
The call included actors Jeff Bridges, Mark Hamill, and Bradley Whitford, as well as potential Harris running mates like Pete Buttigieg and Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz.
A recent Zoom fundraiser for Vice President Kamala Harris, dubbed "White Dudes for Harris," sparked confusion and ridicule from Fox News host Jesse Watters and contributor Tyrus during a panel discussion on The Five. The event, which raised $4 million, featured actors Jeff Bridges, Mark Hamill, and Bradley Whitford, as well as potential Harris running mates like Pete Buttigieg and Minnesota Governor Tim Walz.
Tyrus sarcastically remarked on the irony of the event's title, suggesting he would create a similar event called "White Dudes for Tyrus." He criticized the focus on identity politics, arguing that such an approach would backfire if used by the GOP. Tyrus also noted the absence of "regular dudes" among the attendees, taking a jab at the actors' careers. Watters, in a tongue-in-cheek response, pretended to embrace the event's message, claiming that Harris was finally addressing the needs of white male voters. However, he then shifted to a more serious tone, arguing that the event perpetuated gender stereotypes and that voting for a woman solely based on her gender was "childish" and indicative of "mommy issues." Watters concluded with a bizarre claim that scientists had linked men voting for women to male-to-female transitioning, showcasing the panel's dismissive attitude towards the event and its underlying themes.
