US News: Jimmy Fallon Pokes Fun at Biden in Warning Sign for Diminished President's Late Night Support

Even President Biden's once-reliable late-night defense may be crumbling. In a recent monologue, “Tonight Show” host Jimmy Fallon took jabs at the President's recent coronavirus diagnosis, his noticeable cognitive decline, and waning support from fellow Democrats. “On the bright side… it’s the first positive news he’s had in months,” Fallon quipped, referring to Biden's health situation. “Biden has COVID. Luckily, he can’t spread it because Democrats have been distancing themselves from him since the debate.”
Fallon did not hold back, humorously remarking, “Biden had fatigue, a cough, and brain fog... then he got COVID. Thankfully, he’s expected to make a full recovery—his doctors say he’ll be back to 60 percent in no time.”
For a long time, late-night comedy has primarily supported Biden, with hosts like Fallon and CBS's Stephen Colbert often criticizing Trump while treating Biden with leniency. Colbert even had the honor of interviewing Biden at a star-studded event in March, featuring former Presidents Barack Obama and Bill Clinton.
As Biden faces increasing challenges, it seems he might be losing not just support from Democrats but also favor on late-night television.
