Burning Man Project Laments the Loss of a Participant in Black Rock City

With profound sadness, Burning Man Project announces the untimely passing of a participant in Black Rock City, situated in Nevada's Black Rock Desert. Our heartfelt condolences extend to the family and loved ones affected by this tragic event.

The identity of the deceased has been established by the Pershing County Sheriff's Office. On Sunday, August 25, 2024, at 11:29 AM, Burning Man's emergency services were alerted to an unresponsive individual. Upon arrival, immediate life-saving measures were initiated but proved unsuccessful.

Acknowledging the profound impact this news may have on our community, Burning Man Project emphasizes the availability of support resources for those in Black Rock City:
