Sean Kingston and his mother, Janice Turner, face decades in prison after appearing in front of a federal grand jury on wire fraud charges on Friday.

Singer Sean Kingston and his mother, Janice Turner, are facing decades in prison after being charged with federal wire fraud by a grand jury in Miami. The pair allegedly defrauded sellers of high-end vehicles, jewelry, and other goods by falsely claiming they had executed wire payments. If convicted, each defendant faces up to 20 years in prison on each count. Additionally, they are accused of unjustly enriching themselves by falsely representing they had executed bank wire or other monetary payment transfers, despite no such transfers taking place. The alleged crimes resulted in the defendants obtaining more than $1 million in property. Both Kingston and Turner were previously arrested in May 2024 on numerous fraud and theft charges, following a raid at their rented mansion in South Florida.
